Who's Welcome...
- Who's welcome... rated pilots, students, new students, and non-pilots
The plan...
We'll be paragliding in the Salt Lake City, Utah area for an entire
week! Some glorious places to fly -- we can choose from Point of the Mountain, Crawford
Mountain and 12 other sites near Salt Lake City including
The "V" (we, of course, think it's named for V. Paul Greenwood...) Although
we plan to focus on The Point and/or Crawford Mountain, conditions may dictate
otherwise. Thus, we'll be prepared to visit any of the area locations.
/##/ Be ready to experience some ridge soaring and thermal flying. More advanced pilots may wish to
ridge run if they get the chance... Crawford is a 15-mile long ridge! And
there's always the possibility of an XC. /##/ There will be pre- and
post-flight sessions.
Post-flight sessions tend to happen over dinner, and everyone is able
to talk about their day! /##/ Expect sunny days and winds that vary throughout the day.
Obviously each day may be a bit different, as may each part of the day. Our
daily activity and location will be dependent on Mother Nature. /##/
Hmm, I wonder if there will be prizes... let's see... first one to fly,
ugliest launch, longest foot-sliding launch, longest butt-sliding landing... I'm just sayin'.
/##/ And remember, this trip is NOT restricted to rated pilots. One
or more
students could finish their P2... wouldn't that be cool! New students can
begin their training, and non-pilots can take in the awesome scenery and
enjoy watching all the wings in the air...
